The Importance Of Following Your Inner Voice

It’s pretty sad that these days most of the world’s population is society driven. People blindly accept the dogmas of their society, of their surroundings. They accept the reality of other people’s beliefs, thinking, and actions.
And why is that? Maybe cause people wanna feel loved, wanna belong somewhere, to someone, to a group of people. They wanna be accepted by the society, they wanna be a part of it.
And from my point of view the source of this dire situation is lack of self-awareness. The great Steve Jobs said: “Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.” People almost forget who they are, or they are afraid to dig deep down into their souls and hear their own voice, their life’s call and inner beauty. It seems like people are afraid of loosing their status, and have constant urge of competing and comparing with others.
Most of the people when are in state of feeling bad and frustrated, they tend to compare themselves and their results with other people. And guess what they do? They tend to follow other people’s actions and beliefs. For instance, society says it’s time for you to start a family, and what most people do they start looking at others. But guess where others go? Nowhere, they don’t know where they’re going. Than, you see that almost everyone is getting married and you realize that maybe it’s time for you to start a family. Please don’t fall prey to society’s limitations, don’t walk other people’s path, find and walk your own path. Don’t live in other people’s reality, don’t become manifestation of other people’s reality ,instead create your own reality by forgetting the dogmas that circles around you.
The great Bruce Lee said something marvelous:
“I cannot blindly follow the crowd and accept their approach.”
Those are really powerful words, caring immeasurable wisdom that breaks the dogmas of the modern world. In one of recent posts I said that everyone needs to ponder about their life. So ask yourself where are you in life, what do you want, are your thoughts, beliefs and actions based on society’s dogmas or your own self. Don’t be a walking dead, ponder about you and your life. Thoroughly examine yourself, are you blindly following society’s instructions or your own intuition and inner voice.
Follow your heart and your inner beauty, for you will find the truth about you and the path that will lead you to greatness.
