10 Life Changing Lessons You Can Learn From Albert Einstein

10 Life Changing Lessons You Can Learn From Albert Einstein

During the largest part of his lifetime, ultra-famous scientist Albert Einstein thought and spoke much about the relation of consciousness and matter. He proposed the idea that human beings suffer from an “optical delusion of consciousness” as people experience themselves, their thoughts and feelings as something which is separated from the rest. What solution did the scientist suggested for this problem? He says that the most amazing thing a human being can experience is the mysterious.

According to Einstein, the mysterious is the source of all genuine science and art. He points out that any human to whom such an emotion is something strange and unknown, who can no longer take the time to wonder and feel admiration, is someone who lives without life within them. These people live with their eyes shut to the wonder of existence.

“Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.” -Albert Einstein
Do you believe his vision on education to be the right one that students today need and deserve?
“A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.” – Albert Einstein

As you can see, Einstein discussed the idea of the actual freedom human beings have in their lives. Living as isolated islands in a vast ocean, never making any genuine efforts to meet and live with each other, they spend most of their lives in a self-imposed prison.
“The true value of a human being is determined primarily by the measure and the sense in which he has attained liberation from the self.” -Albert Einstein

Like many other authors and speakers from the field of spirituality and self-development, Einstein saw the key to this locked prison cage as the primary goal anyone should strive to achieve.
